Voices Across Waters is a Mediterranean ecofeminist podcast born from the Barcelona Action Circle on Mediterranean Eco-Feminism. Initiated by Research and Degrowth International and funded by the Mediterranean Women’s Fund, the podcast brings together Mediterranean women and trans ecofeminist activists in intimate and courageous conversations.

Each episode explores stories of care, solidarity, resistance, and post-growth imagination. Across borders and struggles, the series looks at how ecofeminism challenges patriarchal, colonial, capitalist, and extractivist systems while nurturing alternatives rooted in justice, dignity, and ecological balance.

More than interviews, these conversations are acts of alliance-building and collective hope.

The series features Svetlana Balovska Đurković, Mariona Bonsfills Clotet, Noe Diaferia, Asmaa Elmalky, Simona Getova, Jasmina Husanović, Lena Penšek, Roula Seghaier, and Shereen Talaat.

An initiative by Research & Degrowth: Research & Degrowth advances research, training, and collective reflection on degrowth, ecological justice, and post-growth futures. Project coordination and leadership by Lena Penšek, with visual identity and artwork by Alexandra Mestre. More at degrowth.org.

Design and production by Efecto Colibrí: Efecto Colibrí creates narratives that advance a just, diverse, and regenerative reality. Creative design by Ana Amrein and editing and architecture by Gonzalo Díaz. More at efectocolibri.com/en.
